Shrek auditions are open to everyone 13 years old and up. There are limited roles for children 8-12 years old. We will announce a special audition time for that age group.
Auditions will include singing 26 bars of a song of your choice or a song from the show. 26 bars is approximately 55-60 seconds long. We will be timing the auditions to keep things moving along.
There will be some reading from the script.
A short dance sequence will be taught.
An accompanist will be provided.
There are resources online for sheet music, recordings and karaoke tracks. Live piano accompaniment is recommended.
Callbacks will be individually scheduled. If you are not called back does not mean you did not get a role. Please indicate on your audition form how you want to be contacted if you did or did not get a role.
Cast will be announced within five days of the last callback.
