Those auditioning will complete an audition form upon check-in.  A number will be assigned, and we will take a picture for identification.  Auditions will be reading from the script.  Everyone will read.

 

Rehearsals will normally be on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays.  There will be called rehearsals for other days when needed.  There will be tech rehearsals Sunday through Wednesday, August 18 - 21 which will be required by everyone.

 

SYNOPSIS:

It was a simpler time in the late 1940s, especially in South Georgia and specifically in a sleepy little town called Second Samuel. Miss Gertrude passed away, and deep dark secrets were about to be revealed. Nobody could have imagined how the death of one sweet little old lady would turn the entire town upside down, leaving everybody in Second Samuel wondering if anything would ever be normal again!

 

CHARACTERS:

B FLATT, the heart and soul of the town

FRISKY, the unofficial leader of the town, married to Omaha

US, a black man, Frisky's best friend

MANSEL (pronounced MANsul), a harmless redneck

MR. MOZEL,  the town bigot and he "don't like nobody"

OMAHA , cute, stylish and bossy

JIMMY DEEANNE, thoughtless, selfish and pretty

RUBY, works at the hair salon

MARCELA, good-natured, married to Mansel

DOC, knows everybody’s secrets but “he ain’t telling”

JUNE , undertaker, the living make him nervous
